Virginia Mae (Hamilton) Begley

Virginia Mae (Hamilton) Begley, age 90 widow of Howard Begley departed from this Earth on November 11, 2024 at the Jackson Manor Rehabilitation and Care Center in Annville, KY.

     Virginia was born May 25, 1934 in the Vincent Community of Owsley County to the late Lester and Nellie Isabella (Mainous) Hamilton.  She was a homemaker, and worked along with her husband in their auto sales business in Booneville and Beattyville, KY. 

     She is survived by 1 son; James H. (Darcie) Begley II of Bristol, TN, 1 daughter; Elena (Jeff Moore) Riga of Annville, KY, 4 grandchildren; Khris Begley of Booneville, KY, Angela Oldham, Monica O'Brien, and Rebecca Matthews, all of Apex, NC, 5 great grandchildren; Pierce and Emily Begley, Conner O'Brien, Jordon and Caleb Matthews. 2 special nieces; Maria Edwards and Carol Drake-Papp. 1 sister; Bonnie Faye Enos of Elizabethtown, KY along with many other loving family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Howard Begley, 5 brothers; Ralph, Russell, Donald, William Jr., and Paul Hamilton.  1 sister; Ruby Drake.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at 11:00 AM until time of Service at the Booneville Funeral Home with Reverand J. Jamison Brunk officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Warren Chapel Cemetery, located in Vincent Community of Owsley County, KY.
