Earnest Roberts

Earnest Roberts, age 76, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at his residence in Booneville, KY.

     Earnest was born January 31,1948 in the community of Coal Branch of Breathitt County, KY, a son to the late Parnell and Nancy (Johnson) Roberts. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, and in his free-time he enjoyed, farming, going to church at John 3:16 House of Worship, and spending time with his family.

     He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose Roberts, 1 son; Greg Roberts of Harriman, TN, 4 brothers; Hillyard (Sherry) Roberts, of Winchester, KY, Russell Roberts, of Irvine, KY, Donald Roberts, of Booneville, KY, and Tommy (Kim) Roberts, of Irvine, KY. 3 sisters; Chelsie Hamilton, of Winchester, KY, Edna (Sam) Cockerham, of Beattyville, KY, and Ruth Ann (Mitchell) Gabbard, of Booneville, KY. 2 Grandchildren; Austin Roberts, of Booneville, KY, and Darren Roberts, of London, KY. a special friend Dan Baker, of Sextons Creek along with many other loving family members, and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 Sisters; Elsie Roberts, Sondra Roberts, Addie Jean McDaniel, 5 Brothers; Paul, James Earl, Dale Wayne, William Douglas and Kenneth Roberts.

     Visitation will be held at the Booneville Funeral Home, Thursday, September 12,2024 from 11:00AM till 2:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held Thursday September 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Reverand Wendell McDaniel, Reverand Ernie Asher, and Reverand Rodney Dishman officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Ken McDaniel Cemetery located in Booneville, KY.
