Mrs. Ethel Sebastian

Mrs. Ethel Sebastian, 86, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her residence following a long illness.   

     She was born May 7, 1938 in Owsley County, Kentucky, was the daughter of the late John and Jeannie Belle Riley Chandler, the wife of the late Willie Sebastian and was a homemaker.    She was a member of the Cow Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.  

      Mrs. Sebastian is survived by her son Mr. Don Sebastian of Booneville, Kentucky, her daughter Mrs. Donna “Dan” Nash of London, Kentucky, two grandsons Mr. Travis Sebastian and Mr. Kyle Sebastian of Booneville, Kentucky, one sister Miss Patty Chandler of Booneville, Kentucky, three brothers                          Mr. Larry “Pamela” Chandler of Booneville, Kentucky, Mr. Charley “Lois” Chandler of Booneville, Kentucky and Mr. Gary Chandler of Indiana.  Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.                                                                                      

     Mrs. Sebastian was preceded in death by her parents John and Jennie Belle Riley Chandler, her husband Willie Sebastian, one daughter-in-law Mary Sebastian five sisters Easter Chandler, Gracie Thurpin, Juanita Bishop, Dorothy Edwards, Betty Jiles and six brothers John, Elmer, Sam, Fred, Page & Jimmy Dale Chandler. 

     Graveside service for Mrs. Sebastian was held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Chandler Family Cemetery on Crane Fork at Cow Creek in Owsley County, Kentucky.   Brother Terry Sandlin officiating the service. 

The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
