Edward Lee Marshall

    Mr. Edward Lee Marshall, 74, of Ricetown, Kentucky passed away July 30, 2024 at his residence following a long illness.  

     Mr. Marshall was born February 1, 1950 in Oneida, Kentucky.   He was the son of the late Edd and Betty Thomas Marshall and was a farmer.   He attended the Cow Creek Presbyterian Church.  

     Mr. Marshall is survived by two sons Mr. Roger Marshall of Manchester, Kentucky, Mr. Ron “Bobbie Jo” Marshall of Ricetown, Kentucky and two daughters Miss Heather Marshall of Booneville, Kentucky and Mrs. Jeanette “Gus Jr.” Turner of Booneville, Kentucky.  Two sisters Mrs. Gladys Price of Beattyville, Kentucky and Mrs. Jody Campbell of Booneville, Kentucky.  Mr. Marshall has several grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Also he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.    

     Mr. Marshall is preceded in death by his parents Edd and Betty Thomas Marshall, his wife Stella Baker Marshall, two brothers Lucian Marshall and Dale Marshall, eight sisters Alpha Dunahue, Ruby Patterson, Lois Hall, Margie Marshall, Viola “Sis” Marshall, Evon Marshall, Kathy Mayes and Phyllis Marshall.   

     Visitation was held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home.  Funeral services for Mr. Marshall were held Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home.  Officiating the service was Brother Terry Sandlin.  Burial followed in the Esua-Gabbard Cemetery.  

      The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
