Rose Sandlin

Rose Sandlin age 88, widow of Buford Sandlin, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.

Rose was born January 6, 1936 in Buckhorn, KY, a daughter to the late Kelly and Edna Combs. She was retired from the Buckhorn School System as a cook and also was a Deputy Jailer for the Perry County Jail.

She is survived by 1 daughter; Lana (Geoge) Dotson of Belfry, KY, a Special granddaughter, Makayla (Owen) Sandlin of Hazard, KY, 2 sisters; Betty (Ronnie) McIntosh and Vera (Curtis) Amis both of Buckhorn, KY. 4 grandchildren; Joey and Ronnie Banks, Kenny and Christopher Sandlin several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with many other loving family members, and friends. Rose loved her family, her animals, and loved to cook many have stated she was the best cook ever. She will be missed by all.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Buford, 2 sons; Philip and Chris Sandlin, 3 grandsons; Jamie Banks, Phillip Wayne Sandlin, and Buford Dean Sandlin.
