Eastern Kentucky University’s (EKU) Rural Area Medical chapter and Psi Chi and Psychology Club tabled in Powell to raise money for their respective clubs.
EKU’s Rural Area Medical chapter hosted "Cookies for Clinics", a bake sale where funds go toward the clubs attendance at mobile medical clinics that help service under-served areas and people without insurance. The chapter is a student-led organization that organizes volunteer events and allows students to build leadership skills through hosting and providing for their communities. The sale lasted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lower Powell lobby on Thursday April 17 where items were priced from $1 to $3 with gluten free options. The club plans to have another sale next week.
